Mother Teresa, raised millions of dollars under the pretense of helping the world’s poor and sick, though they saw little if any of this money. Most it likely wound up in the Vatican’s vaults. Despite the fortunes she made, she kept those in her hospitals in a state of squalor. This was in part because she believed that poverty and misery brought one closer to Jesus. She also used her name to lend credibility to murderous dictators, corrupt politicians and thieving scam artists. Additionally she promoted the was and wished to outlaw contraception.
To further elaborate I invite our readers to view this short film by Christopher Hitchens, who was actually invited to the Vatican to argue against making her a saint.
